Responsibility

te00003  Responsibility, the one thing most of us either avoid or try to deflect to others. For every action you take and every thought you have had you are solely responsible for any outcome and or result from said actions and thoughts. Each person has free will and therefore must be responsible for the choices they make. Being responsible is to accept the blame and the credit for what you have done and for the results from your actions. If you go through life blaming others for your own mistakes you will never learn to overcome the faults within yourself.

To be responsible for your actions and thoughts is not to beat yourself up over past mistakes, it is to recognize that you have made those mistakes and to try and learn from the experience. It also means you should try and make up for those mistakes if not repair some of the damage caused by them. Once you have accepted responsibility and did what you could to make amends for your mistakes then it is time to forgive yourself for the mistakes made and remember them so not to repeat them.

We also can be responsible for things when we chose not to act, because when you choose not to act you also are taking an action by ignoring the problem at hand. We are also responsible for any influence we have on the actions others may do, So the words you speak and the words you write can influence others. Just remember to think before you speak or write and you should not have any worries about being a negative influence.

All of this is not to be seen as an attempt to make anyone feel guilty, This is more to try and get those who read it to think about their actions, thoughts and words. If only the companies,press/media and the governments of this world would take responsibility for their own words, thoughts and actions then maybe we would be able to live in a better world than we do now.

Who knows, The future is unwritten

I view the world from many different perspectives only to find that even with all the deceit and sadness in this world there is still plenty of truth and hope to be found. I watch hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados and many other disasters come and destroy all in their paths. Then I see people get together to rebuild and support one another. It goes to show you that mankind still has a ray of hope and goodness within us. Of course there are always those who take advantage of the disaster for their own ill gains, but this is a small percent of the whole. There are always a few bad seeds in every community that one must be aware of. Even some of those you would think are bad seeds have proven to be good at heart in times of need. No soul is beyond redemption is my belief and I have seen so many bad seeds find the right path in the end.

The future may be uncertain for mankind but I am confident we will pull together to survive what ever comes our way. Be it here on earth, in space or under the oceans we will survive. since we are the most adaptive and one of the most intelligent species on this planet. As intelligent as a species as we are it still baffles me how we still kill each other because of religious , political and social differences. Maybe one day we will grow up enough to see how foolish it is to fight wars and kill each other. Who knows, The future is unwritten and mankind is constantly growing and learning each day that passes. I just hope mankind wont wait till it is too late to grow up and see the right path to follow.

2012 The End, A New Beginning, or Just another year?

p10156 All the hype and media that is out there trying to tell us the end is near is more of a distraction than a help. What if it is the end in December of 2012, We can not prevent what we truly have no control over. The End can come at any given date in the future, It all depends on the choices we make and how we take care of our home we call earth. The only other way the end will come besides by our own hands is by a random catastrophic event caused by nature or brought to us from the dangerous objects flying through space. Since we are not technologically advanced yet to alter the paths or comets, meteors and other space debris, we should focus on the things we can either change or prepare for.

Most weather events we can prepare for and survive through except for the occasional massive and severe hurricanes, tornados, volcanic activity and earth quakes.  Global warming we can slow and possibly even reverse in time, but only if the whole world works towards that goal. I would not waste energy worrying over 2012, I would instead about the dangers we are certain exist and can be avoided if not overcame through the collective effort of all peoples of the earth.

Maybe 2012 is the year we come together as a world, All governments working together with the common goal of world prosperity and peace. I do not want it to be a one world nation because absolute power would corrupt such a government. Though maybe a U.N. kind of thing but with each nation with equal voting power. Though I know the U.N. has many problems, but it is the closest thing we have to the nations of the world working together for the common good. Allot of work would be needed if the U.N. was the choice that is for sure.

2012 is probably nothing but another year ,But I Hope 2012 is a more of a beginning of a new era than the end of Mankind.

I guess only time will tell what 2012 will be

Just a pipe dream

dd43853   We all are Brothers and Sisters in this world we live in. We all are descendants of the first human to walk this earth. Though we come in many colors and cultural flavors we are all apart of one species. We allow religion, politics and cultural differences divide our great family. We should embrace all our differences, for that is what makes us such a unique and wondrous species. Just think what we could accomplish if we were to work together to fix the problems we face. I believe that man kind can overcome our differences and can accomplish amazing things if and when we come together as a species.

Our separation is the weak link in our family, For a house divided upon itself will eventually fall. So much we could do and achieve if we could learn to unconditionally love one another and to co-operate for the common good. Though I know its just a pipe dream to think that mankind will ever come together to better life, But I like dreaming of the positive possibilities before us. Maybe one day in the far future mankind might grow up enough to come together as a species and live in harmony with each other. Maybe one day we will learn the earth is ours to take care of not to abuse and destroy.

Maybe one day governments will serve the people and religions will co-exist in tolerance and for the saving of souls. Until then we must make the best of what is here and live by example in hopes others will follow.

Relationships

p10055To enrich a relationship and keep it strong you must work at it. No relationship can fly on autopilot without crashing eventually. Several key components to a successful relationship are as follows

Communication : Communicate your feelings and just talk to each other not at each other.

Quality Time:   Spend time with your mate doing activities that you both enjoy

Self Time:  Just as you need quality time with your mate you both need time away from each other.

Acceptance:  You must accept your partners faults along with your own. (Nobody is Perfect)

Impulsiveness:  Be impulsive occasionally, surprise your mate in one way or another to keep things stirred up.

Sometimes there  will be times both you and your mate will have to do things that the other likes and you don’t.
Just remember true love is unconditional and is giving of itself. You must understand that both you and your mate are two individuals with different backgrounds and different upbringing. No two people is completely alike and the difference between people is what makes each and every one of us interesting. Instead of wasting time wishing your mate would do one thing or another put that energy into enjoying the things your mate does that you enjoy.

Every person has good points and faults and only one who can correct those flaws is the person with them. You can not change anyone who isn’t willing to change. so instead of wasting time trying to change them, accept their flaws and improve yourself. If you both learn to accept one another for who you two really are you might be surprised how little the flaws in one another matters. And as we all know our time here on earth is a short amount of time, We can spend it enjoying the goodness in ourselves and those we care about or we can waste that time being judgmental and angry at the fact the world and the people in it are not perfect.

There isn’t a perfect formula to having a perfect relationship only because there is no such thing as a perfect relationship. Remember that and then maybe you can help your relationship become a good one.

Love, Unconditional and Conditional

Unconditional love is a rare commodity in this modern world, Especially between husband and wife. When you take the vows of matrimony it is a promise to love and cherish one another for better or worse.  Most married couples seem to look over the better and run when it gets worse. Seems the love of the modern day is conditional and selfish.
Love is meant to be selfless and ever flowing, sweet and forgiving not self gratifying and controlling. I have caught myself putting conditions on the love i give and see that such a love is not really love but more of a control issue. It is a selfish behavior to put conditions on love, To be a fair weather friend and or spouse is selfish and untrue.

If there is conditions to love then it is not love and one should walk away from such relationships if they can not love each other unconditionally. To love unconditionally is a hard thing to do sometimes but it is easier than living a lie or trying to keep the conditions met for conditional love. We should love one another for who and what we all are and accept the other persons faults as much as rejoice in their better qualities. Conditional Love never lasts for long because it isn’t real love at all. Only Unconditional love can last forever for it is selfless and it is true love.

The 3 F’s of Life

The 3 F’s of life, Friendship, Fairness and most importantly faith. A real friend will be there to support you when times are tough. The same friend will be right beside you when times are grand. Friendship is a valuable tool in the wellbeing of your mental and emotional health. Fairness instills humility and a unselfish mentality. The virtues of being humble and selfless has been written about both in the religious papers and in philosophies from ancient times Faith is bringer of hope and  the sustainer of the weary. The 3’fs are just the basic tools one needs to make it through this world and through this life.

Without friendship one will be lonely. Without fairness there would be cruelty. and without faith there would be despair.  So the 3 F’s of life are needed in order to maintain happiness and instill humility.

Just something to think about is all….

I learn from life and from all I see.

There is those of us who seem to be on a never ending quest in search of some magical moment or a certain perfect person being a lover, teacher or just a familiar soul. Some of us are actually are trying to find ourselves. I always loved that line I am trying to find myself, though it sounds a bit campy it is actually a very legitimate quest. To find who you really are and what you really are. Some of us go through are whole life never knowing where we fit in the scheme of life and of the universe. I being one of those who still hasn’t found the path or the meaning of my life.

Though I have came to the conclusion the magical moment is now and the teacher i sought was both life and my own self. And lovers come and go and sometimes even stay but a familiar soul is rare to find. The quest for knowing where i belong and how i fit in the scheme of life and the universe is a quest that is still on going. So I live in the magical moment of now as best as I am able, I Learn from life and from all that i see.

Peace

Ramblings on Sex

Sex, a topic normally avoided for various reasons is the topic today. Why is it most men have very high sex drives throughout their lives and women seem to be like a roller coaster with a crash ending? Besides the biological reasons such as hormones etc. their are emotional and psychological reasons behind their sex drive being diminished. Could be as simple as not feeling appreciated or loved or as complex as multiple bad relationships that also may have contained one form or another of sexual abuse.

Most common is the feeling they tend to get that the man only sees them as a sex toy. I know most guys would love to feel like that but then too much of anything can become a negative for sure. The problem is men do to a degree see there partner as a sex toy that is a programmed response to not only the media (TV, Movies and other forms) but also to the mentality of the world they live in. This same mentality also puts men up on altars for sexual conquests but shames women for pursuing similar activities. This also helps diminish some females sex drives due to the guilt they feel about wanting and enjoying sex.

Another issue is the lack of communication and honesty in and out of the bedroom. Your partner can not read your mind so if there is something you enjoy you should inform your partner. More and likely they would love to do it for you to bring you pleasure. Women are brought up to be mothers by society and men are brought up to view women as sex objects. Sex should be a shared experience where both sides enjoy it and want the other side to enjoy it as well. We shouldn’t see each other as sex toys or objects. We should see each other as partners in life, family and sex.

Far as those poor women who think sex is dirty or just for procreation. Yes god wants us to have children and that was the biological reason for his creation of sex but he also  made it pleasurable not only so we would do it more but also to bond the man and women and give them a chance to bring pleasure to each other and help their love grow for each other.

Both men and women deserve to enjoy sex and neither should be glorified nor shamed for their desires or actions. Neither man nor woman is greater or lesser than the other. We are equals and together we are greater than we are alone. Say what you will about my opinions but I think sex is one of the greatest inventions god made. It brings new life, pleasure to both sides, bonds partners and is good for both our mental and physical health.

The Physical and Spiritual paths are one in the same.

Going through life in servitude to your partner if done out of true love and devotion is a Nobel and worthy path to follow. To be selfless and dedicated to bringing happiness to those you care about is a higher spiritual calling very few follow. Most people avoid such a path because it doesn’t serve their desires and wants. We go through life seeking happiness and get misled to believe the only way to obtain it is through selfish acts and thoughts. Lets say their is two sides to a person one that is of the material world and mind and one that is of the non material or spiritual world. They both coexist and compliment each other if kept balanced.

Many eastern beliefs hold on to the total spiritual path when I myself see both the physical and spiritual as one path combined. We live in the physical world so we must interact with it and we are bound by its laws for the most part. We also are Spiritual so we also must interact with it and we are bound by its laws too. Most of the rules of the spiritual world is reflected in the physical world. To only be one or the other is to deny half of what we are, we must embrace both but in balance. Neither is evil nor good. It is you, the self that chooses good or evil either willingly or through ignorance.

How you choose to be and to believe is solely your choice and responsibility and you will be held responsible for most if not all of what you do and choose. Remember that so you will choose wisely and learn all you can so you may be able to choose the right course for yourself. Follow not any teacher, guru or religious leader, follow your own path so the penalties and rewards you reap will be from your own choices not that of another. Learn from them but choose your own path.

Peace, Until next time
