All the hype and media that is out there trying to tell us the end is near is more of a distraction than a help. What if it is the end in December of 2012, We can not prevent what we truly have no control over. The End can come at any given date in the future, It all depends on the choices we make and how we take care of our home we call earth. The only other way the end will come besides by our own hands is by a random catastrophic event caused by nature or brought to us from the dangerous objects flying through space. Since we are not technologically advanced yet to alter the paths or comets, meteors and other space debris, we should focus on the things we can either change or prepare for.
Most weather events we can prepare for and survive through except for the occasional massive and severe hurricanes, tornados, volcanic activity and earth quakes. Global warming we can slow and possibly even reverse in time, but only if the whole world works towards that goal. I would not waste energy worrying over 2012, I would instead about the dangers we are certain exist and can be avoided if not overcame through the collective effort of all peoples of the earth.
Maybe 2012 is the year we come together as a world, All governments working together with the common goal of world prosperity and peace. I do not want it to be a one world nation because absolute power would corrupt such a government. Though maybe a U.N. kind of thing but with each nation with equal voting power. Though I know the U.N. has many problems, but it is the closest thing we have to the nations of the world working together for the common good. Allot of work would be needed if the U.N. was the choice that is for sure.
2012 is probably nothing but another year ,But I Hope 2012 is a more of a beginning of a new era than the end of Mankind.
I guess only time will tell what 2012 will be

We all are Brothers and Sisters in this world we live in. We all are descendants of the first human to walk this earth. Though we come in many colors and cultural flavors we are all apart of one species. We allow religion, politics and cultural differences divide our great family. We should embrace all our differences, for that is what makes us such a unique and wondrous species. Just think what we could accomplish if we were to work together to fix the problems we face. I believe that man kind can overcome our differences and can accomplish amazing things if and when we come together as a species.
Our separation is the weak link in our family, For a house divided upon itself will eventually fall. So much we could do and achieve if we could learn to unconditionally love one another and to co-operate for the common good. Though I know its just a pipe dream to think that mankind will ever come together to better life, But I like dreaming of the positive possibilities before us. Maybe one day in the far future mankind might grow up enough to come together as a species and live in harmony with each other. Maybe one day we will learn the earth is ours to take care of not to abuse and destroy.
Maybe one day governments will serve the people and religions will co-exist in tolerance and for the saving of souls. Until then we must make the best of what is here and live by example in hopes others will follow.

To enrich a relationship and keep it strong you must work at it. No relationship can fly on autopilot without crashing eventually. Several key components to a successful relationship are as follows
Communication : Communicate your feelings and just talk to each other not at each other.
Quality Time: Spend time with your mate doing activities that you both enjoy
Self Time: Just as you need quality time with your mate you both need time away from each other.
Acceptance: You must accept your partners faults along with your own. (Nobody is Perfect)
Impulsiveness: Be impulsive occasionally, surprise your mate in one way or another to keep things stirred up.
Sometimes there will be times both you and your mate will have to do things that the other likes and you don’t.
Just remember true love is unconditional and is giving of itself. You must understand that both you and your mate are two individuals with different backgrounds and different upbringing. No two people is completely alike and the difference between people is what makes each and every one of us interesting. Instead of wasting time wishing your mate would do one thing or another put that energy into enjoying the things your mate does that you enjoy.
Every person has good points and faults and only one who can correct those flaws is the person with them. You can not change anyone who isn’t willing to change. so instead of wasting time trying to change them, accept their flaws and improve yourself. If you both learn to accept one another for who you two really are you might be surprised how little the flaws in one another matters. And as we all know our time here on earth is a short amount of time, We can spend it enjoying the goodness in ourselves and those we care about or we can waste that time being judgmental and angry at the fact the world and the people in it are not perfect.
There isn’t a perfect formula to having a perfect relationship only because there is no such thing as a perfect relationship. Remember that and then maybe you can help your relationship become a good one.

Unconditional love is a rare commodity in this modern world, Especially between husband and wife. When you take the vows of matrimony it is a promise to love and cherish one another for better or worse. Most married couples seem to look over the better and run when it gets worse. Seems the love of the modern day is conditional and selfish.
Love is meant to be selfless and ever flowing, sweet and forgiving not self gratifying and controlling. I have caught myself putting conditions on the love i give and see that such a love is not really love but more of a control issue. It is a selfish behavior to put conditions on love, To be a fair weather friend and or spouse is selfish and untrue.
If there is conditions to love then it is not love and one should walk away from such relationships if they can not love each other unconditionally. To love unconditionally is a hard thing to do sometimes but it is easier than living a lie or trying to keep the conditions met for conditional love. We should love one another for who and what we all are and accept the other persons faults as much as rejoice in their better qualities. Conditional Love never lasts for long because it isn’t real love at all. Only Unconditional love can last forever for it is selfless and it is true love.
Just my 2 cents worth

Imagination, a key to a happier and healthier mind and body. To allow your mind to wander and be creative during the day allows the brain to work out problems and to stimulate the chemicals that reduces stress and it also relaxes the body. Seems as we get older our desire to imagination gets less either due to lack of time or to our illusion of it being immature and a waste of time. Just like dreaming at night it is a necessary part of life. Even simple fantasizing or day dreaming can relax you and help you to escape the stresses of modern life. From my own experience i have noticed a drop in blood pressure after day dreaming and imaginative Visualization. It lowered both Systolic and diolostic pressures by 4 points or better. It also helps me to become more peaceful when i find my self upset.
So once or twice a week try to daydream or have a imaginative visualization and see how it helps you feel more relaxed. If that is all it will do for you that in itself is a good benefit for your body and mind.
Till Next Time

The 3 F’s of life, Friendship, Fairness and most importantly faith. A real friend will be there to support you when times are tough. The same friend will be right beside you when times are grand. Friendship is a valuable tool in the wellbeing of your mental and emotional health. Fairness instills humility and a unselfish mentality. The virtues of being humble and selfless has been written about both in the religious papers and in philosophies from ancient times Faith is bringer of hope and the sustainer of the weary. The 3’fs are just the basic tools one needs to make it through this world and through this life.
Without friendship one will be lonely. Without fairness there would be cruelty. and without faith there would be despair. So the 3 F’s of life are needed in order to maintain happiness and instill humility.
Just something to think about is all….
Peace

All change begins with yourself. For instance if we are to ever get America to be more energy efficient and use more green energy technologies then we have to start home. Though most of us may not be able to afford solar panels to power our homes we can afford to use the more efficient florescent light bulbs and energy star appliances. We also can use a heat pump instead of a energy hogging furnace and air conditioner. We also can turn off appliances when not in use if not unplug them.
If more people did as described above we probably could cut energy consumption by 1/3 if not more. By setting an example for family and friends we can encourage them to follow the same path. We can also write our government officials constantly about going to green and renewable energy/ fuel sources. If enough of us write and keep bugging them there is a good chance it could create a change. Even a small change can trigger larger ones kind of like a domino effect.
Being informed is the best way to create change, To inform others creates change of mind that begets change of action. The more informed the public becomes the more they act. A good example is Greenpeace they use grassroots efforts to educate the public and also to raise funds. They succeed both in raising awareness and getting donations. So educating the public about the facts is a proven method to create change.
The seriousness of our energy crisis is really not understood by most people. The fact oil is not a never ending source of energy eludes most people. When the oil becomes scarce there will be wars over the remaining supply if we don’t find an alternative fuel. If were to find a viable renewable source of fuel to replace oil then we wouldn’t have to worry about the shrinking oil supply.
Well those are my thoughts on the subject anyway.
Peace

Extra Terrestrials are a favorite for Sci-Fi movies, books and other media. To have claimed to see one or being abducted by one is taboo and most who have claimed so are ridiculed or looked upon as mentally unstable. Of course with no actual contact proven to be authentic and little if no evidence of their actual existence we are to assume they are not fact. Now putting away the normal procedures of proof makes fact we move on to the chances of Extra terrestrials existing. Considering the amount of star just visible from our little blue planet called earth and how many planets that could be in orbit around these stars along with the very low chance of each star having a planet in the habitable zone it still leaves a good chance for another planet similar to earth. Though the conditions would have to be perfect for life to appear on such a planet but then you would think at least a few would have the right environment for life.
So one must conclude there should be at least a slight chance of life developing on another planet out there somewhere. According to scientists the milky way is one of the younger galaxies in the universe so there is also a chance that there could be intelligent life out there that probably be a bit more if not significantly more technologically advanced than us earthlings. More and likely if such a civilization existed they would be on a planet in another galaxy and probably too far away from us to visit unless they discovered a way to fold space or use worm holes. The present scientific beliefs would make one believe that such things are unlikely. But then we used to think the earth was flat and that earth was the center of the universe. As time and science progress we may find ways of traveling great distances in a instant. The worse case scenario is that any extra terrestrial would be no more than microbial life forms or some form of wildlife.
